Plain Math LLC is owned and operated by Ilya Krylov, an educator with 10+ years of teaching experience.
I've been teaching math to students in grades 3 through 8 for over a decade. In that time, I've worked with hundreds of kids who struggled — not because math is too hard, but because it wasn't explained in a way that made sense to them.
I created Plain Math to fix that. Every lesson is built around clarity: one concept, explained simply, with real examples. No rushing, no confusion, no assuming you already know.
If your child has ever said "I just don't get math," these lessons are for them.

Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What grade levels are covered? ›
Plain Math covers grades 3 through 8 — that's 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. All grade levels are included in every subscription plan.
How long are the lessons? ›
Each lesson is 15–20 minutes long. They're designed to be focused and complete — enough to understand the concept, not so long that attention drifts.
Can my child go at their own pace? ›
Yes, completely. There are no deadlines, no schedules, and no pressure. Your child can watch a lesson once or ten times — whatever it takes to feel confident before moving on.
What devices does it work on? ›
Plain Math works on any modern device — laptop, desktop, tablet, or smartphone. All you need is an internet connection and a browser.
Can I cancel my subscription? ›
The monthly plan can be canceled anytime directly through your account on the platform where you purchased the course. The 3-month and 6-month plans provide access for the full period purchased. If you have questions, reach out and we'll make it right.
Is this aligned with the US school curriculum? ›
Yes. The content is designed to align with typical US elementary and middle school math curricula, covering all the key topics students need to succeed in class and on standardized tests.
